Useful tips for car maintenance in a new section of CarMarket.bg

“Ask the Specialist” introduces readers to professionals from various fields in the industry who give their expert opinion

In Bulgaria, men understand politics, football, women and cars. Probably not always in that order, but these are topics that everyone is competent in at the table.

But since talk is not always accompanied by real experience and knowledge, colleagues from CarMarket.bg decided to launch a new video project in which to give the floor to professionals from different spheres in the industry to give their expert opinion, backed by years of practice.

The new series has the idea of presenting the experience of professionals who give their expertise and advice related to car maintenance and servicing.

The first topic is ‘tyres’, and it has been prompted by the fact that no matter how many times an article is published with the headline ‘When should you change from winter to summer tyres’, the interest is huge every time. That’s why the colleagues from CarMarket.bg decided to delve deeper into the topic, and the reason for this topic was the spring change of car tires. They talked to Borislav Vrajaliyev, Chairman of the Association of Manufacturers, Importers, Traders and Vulcanizers of Tyres in Bulgaria, who touches on many more aspects related to tyres than just the change.

Moreover, the topic of cars in our country is also associated with a lot of stereotypes, among which is this one: “tires are not important, what is important is the steering gear”. Naturally, it is important, but we should not overestimate ourselves, it is the tyre that makes the car’s contact with the road, so it is extremely important what its condition is.

Borislav Vrajaliyev reveals what the “5-15-50” rule is, do standard tires differ from those for electric cars, how much is the warranty on a new tire, and of course the big question for “His Eminence the DOT”. It turns out that after all this time, many people still don’t know the meaning of the 12 symbols in a tire’s markings, it’s important to them that their tire was manufactured a few weeks ago if possible, but that’s just not possible.
