NetInfo Combines the Power of AI with Strong Journalistic Expertise

The new NewsBuild.ai platform delivers greater efficiency for web editorial teams

Digital media and technology company NetInfo, part of Nova Broadcasting Group, introduced its latest platform – NewsBuild.ai. The platform advances the daily workflows of web editorial teams without compromising the quality of journalism. NetInfo’s AI product has been developed in collaboration with the global expertise of Google and the consulting arm of the Financial Times – FT Strategies.

The main objective of NewsBuild.ai is to automate routine processes, expand research capabilities, enhance content presentation, and free up editors to focus on core journalistic work. The platform manages the RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) process, ensuring the use of information from the media outlet’s archive and officially verified sources. The AI prepares the foundation of the articles – facts, data, and timelines of events. It also proposes and generates explanations on the topic, context, background, and other elements of high-quality content. The journalist provides the final meaning and editorial perspective of the story.

NetInfo’s innovative development strategy, combined with the global expertise of Google and the methodology of FT Strategies, will significantly improve the operational efficiency of any web editorial team and unlock the journalistic and creative potential of editors. The project was part of AI Launch Hub – a global program by Google News Initiative and FT Strategies supporting AI transformation in the media industry.

The large-scale development of the product involved editorial teams from United Media, including Nova Broadcasting Group, across Serbia, Croatia, Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Greece. This approach turns the specifics of different languages into a strategic advantage.

“The most interesting part for us is identifying business applications of AI innovations. AI transformation, in most cases beyond Silicon Valley unicorns, is about finding and integrating business applications. This requires, above all, sound judgment and a competent team, which we have,” commented Alexander Varov, CEO of NetInfo and Digital Advertising and Revenue Team Lead at United Media.

In February, he and Nadya Gancheva, Chief Content Officer of NetInfo, are invited to present the new product in London during the AI Launchpad program, a joint initiative of FT Strategies and the Google News Initiative.

NewsBuild.ai is now available to clients and partners.
